WELCOME

Troop 870/5870 encourages at least one parent/guardian of each Scout to actively participate in the Troop. Participation in the Troop can take many forms:

  • Driving Scouts to an activity

  • Going on outings with your Scout (one of the best parts of scouting!)

  • Helping organize an activity

  • Assisting Scouts in earning a Merit Badge
by being a Merit Badge Counselor

  • Helping organize the troop by being a Committee Member

  • Supporting the scouts by being an Assistant Scoutmaster

All active adults must complete Youth Protection Training (approximately 72 minutes).  See the Troop Handbook for more information on adult positions in Troop 870/5870.

See the New Parent Orientation presentation for more details for parents when you join Troop 870/5870
